AP European History
Meredith will be offering AP Euro online for the 2018-2019 school year!

The course will run from August 27, 2018 - May 8, 2019.

Class will be limited to 25 students.
-
AP European History is open to students in grades 10-12.
-
Students will be expected to dedicate between 10-15 hours per week to reading, writing, collaborative activities and threaded discussion.

An experienced AP Reader (Meredith) will give detailed, personalized feedback on writing regularly in preparation for the AP exam.
-
The course will be run through Schoology, and Google Drive will also be used for written assignments. Students will have access to exclusive online lectures and a variety of online learning activities.

Students will be invited to participate in review Google Hangouts prior to the AP exam.
-
It is expected that students will be active and willing participants in class activities and collaboration.
-
This course is aligned with the College Board Key Concepts, Course themes and AP Rubrics.

A detailed syllabus will be posted at the start of each unit with all assignments. Most units will last from 2-3 weeks. A sample syllabus is posted below. Each syllabus includes essential questions and hyperlinked vocabulary lists for each unit as well as links to review test questions.

'Do-now' questions will be posted regularly to focus attention on the essential questions for the reading assignments.

2017-2018 activities included a collaborative 'Shark Tank' Industrial Revolution video project, a renaissance art project, virtual tours of palaces created by absolute rulers as well as primary and secondary source analysis.

Each student will be provided with review material and a personalized 'action plan' customized for their individual needs for the final 30 days prior to the AP exam.
